Overview

The ICT Support Desk at Marondera University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (MUAST) ensures seamless access to technology resources for students, staff, and administrators. The department provides prompt assistance for hardware, software, and connectivity issues while managing critical systems that support teaching, learning, research, and administrative functions.

Core Functions

  • Support Desk Services: Providing technical assistance to students and staff for hardware and software issues, ensuring minimal disruption.
  • User Training: Offering workshops and sessions to help users utilize technology resources effectively.
  • Systems Administration: Managing user accounts, access controls, and authentication systems.
  • Application & Server Management: Maintaining email, LMS, and university applications for performance and availability.
  • Hardware & Software Support: Assisting with installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and upgrades.
  • ICT Security & Data Protection: Protecting institutional data from cyber threats.
  • Collaboration Tools: Supporting email, video conferencing, and productivity platforms.
