Overview

The purpose of the Monitoring and Evaluation Unit is to ensure that the University has a strong monitoring and evaluation culture. Its mandate is to monitor and evaluate the implementation of the Integrated Results Based Management (IRBM) system. Results Based Monitoring and Evaluation entails strengthening the systems of knowledge generation, governance, evidence-based policy advocacy, transparency, accountability, and continuous learning for improvement.

A robust monitoring and evaluation system is imperative for successful implementation of MUAST policies, strategies, programmes and projects. The Monitoring and Evaluation Unit undertakes statistical analysis on activities carried out and prepares reports to assist in service delivery.
