The Marketing, Agri-work Related Learning and Outreach Programmes Directorate informs internal and
external stakeholders about the institution’s diverse offerings while promoting sustainability to
build stakeholder confidence and enhance brand identity. This is accomplished through developing
targeted marketing strategies, focused campaigns, events, and outreach efforts, as well as social
media, email marketing, and the university's website to connect with potential students, partners,
donors and sponsors. Additionally, engaging with alumni helps build relationships that can result in
referrals, donations, and networking opportunities for current students. The Directorate also oversees
agricultural work-related learning, including practical training and industrial attachment assessments,
to ensure graduates are well-equipped with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
Furthermore, the Directorate connects with communities through outreach programs, providing training and
technical support to farmers with a goal to share knowledge and promote community development.
The Directorate operates on a service philosophy that keeps stakeholders well-informed and updated
about MUAST's activities and achievements within the broader context of the university's mandate as
an institution of agricultural sciences and technology.
