Overview
The Works and Estates Unit is responsible for the planning, development, maintenance, and management of all physical infrastructure and facilities at Marondera University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology. It ensures that the university’s buildings, grounds, utilities, and equipment provide a safe, functional, and conducive environment for teaching, learning, research, and administration.

To be a center of excellence in the provision of world-class infrastructure and estate management that supports academic and operational excellence at Marondera University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (MUAST).
Mission
To plan, develop, operate, and maintain university physical facilities and infrastructure through innovative, cost-effective, and sustainable practices that enhance the university’s teaching, research, and community service mandate.
Objectives
- To plan and execute infrastructure development projects aligned to the University Strategic Plan;
- To provide timely maintenance and repairs to all university facilities and utilities;
- To ensure compliance with building by-laws, health, safety, and environmental standards;
- To manage university land, assets, and capital projects efficiently and sustainably.
