Overview

The Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Management provides and enables comprehensive understanding and appreciation of processes and tools required for the management of habitats, environments and ecosystems to ensure the conservation of wildlife and fish resources. The programme emphasizes the sustainable utilization of plant, animal and fish species through detailed consideration of relevant environmental, ecological, economic and social concepts. Thus, students who complete the degree programme will attain solid understanding of contemporary environmental issues and the necessary professional skills to competently and efficiently contribute to modern wildlife and fish resources conservation programmes and organizations. Students will be able to effectively work as wildlife and fish resources biologists, fish farm managers, game rangers, protected areas managers, and ecologists for government agencies, policy makers, environmental consulting companies and environmental non-profit organizations.
