BIOGRAPHY

Dr Kenedy Simango is a lecturer in Plant Breeding and Biotechnology. He graduated in 2004 with a BSc in Agriculture from the University of Zimbabwe, an MSc in Plant Breeding and Seed Systems in 2010, from the University of Zambia and a PhD in Plant Pathology in 2018 from the University of Pretoria. After graduation in 2004, he started his research career at Crop Breeding Institute on crop improvement of a number of crops including potatoes and legumes. In 2012 he joined Biotechnology Research Institute of Scientific and Industrial Research and Development Centre working on plant breeding, biotechnology and seed systems. Dr Simango is a plant breeder and biotechnologist who has interest in crop improvement, plant pathology and seed systems.
