Overview:
As Marondera University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology plans to lead in the provision of technology-driven sustainable green agricultural solutions to serve and meet the changing needs of its target market and the society at large, quality becomes an imperative in service delivery. Key to achieving this strategy is the development of Quality Assurance Directorate (QAD) that oversees the University-wide quality assurance interventions. Henceforth, the QAD was established in 2019 as the secretariat for the Vice Chancellor’s on all institutional quality assurance issues. The directorate is key to the development of an effective and efficient Quality Assurance system that serves in teaching, learning, research, curriculum development, student progression and welfare, governance and administration that are key in implementation for Education 5.0 centred on; teaching, research, community service, innovation and industrialization. The Directorate also oversees the process of institutional and programme accreditation by ZIMCHE (Zimbabwe Council for Higher Education). The QAD will continue to facilitate development of a culture of self- evaluation and continuous total quality improvement in the University.
