Welcome to the Marondera University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology Library (MUAST Library) your gateway to research information. MUAST Library is committed to the support of the overall vision and mission the University. The library plays an integral role as a one-stop place in meeting your information needs. It facilitates access to all the information you need to complement your lectures and research work. Our qualified staff are always available to assist with your information needs.

Membership
MUAST library is there to serve students, academic and non- academic staff of the university. Membership is obtainable via registration.
- Circulation Services The circulation services unit of the Library is responsible for the borrowing and returning of all Library materials.
- Research Assistance Librarians are available by appointment to assist both staff and students with in depth research questions. Selective dissemination of information services are also provided by the library.
- Information Literacy Skills Training Training users how to search, locate and retrieve information timeously and ethically.
- Place to study Quiet space to study.
- Reprographic services Users can photocopy, print and bind their documents for a small fee.
- Computers and Internet The Library has computers that are connected to the internet for students
- Inter library loan The ILL facility between CSC Campus Library and Dozmery Library is now working. Books that are not available at CSC Campus Library but available at Dozmery Library and vice versa will be delivered to the requiring destination within 24 hours.
- Book Express Delivery Service (BEDS) for Lecturers MUAST Library wishes to introduce the book express delivery service. Lecturers can now request for books whilst in the comfort of their offices. The books will be delivered directly to the Lecturers office or lecture venue.
- E-resource training Refresher practicals training sessions for all lecturers and students on use of e-resources are now available upon request. Visit the nearest Branch Library and make necessary arrangements for E-resources training.
- User orientation An opportunity given to new students or anyone else to familiarize themselves with the services the library will offer throughout the duration of their study programmes. This is usually done at the beginning of each semester or when specially called for.
- Authorised or registered users will be allowed to use the library.
- Smoking, drinking and eating are not allowed in the library.
- Briefcases, bags, and parcels must be deposited at the baggage area.
- All library material must be handled with care.
- Silence must be maintained in and around the library.
- Cell phones should be put on silent mode.
- Library users must show their student identification cards when entering the library.
- The Library will restrict borrowing of books to students with outstanding Library fines and / or lost books.

FAQs
How can I access past exam papers online?
On the MUAST library homepage, select the link labeled Past Examination Papers, then click on the faculty link labeled Agriculture. You can then search the exam papers you want by course code.
Is food and drink allowed in the library?
NO food and drinks are permitted in the library. Please read more about the dos and don’ts under Rules and Regulations link on the About Us tab.
Is the library open during weekends?
Dozmery campus is open Saturdays only from 0900hrs to 1300hrs, while CSC campus is open Saturdays and Sundays 0800hrs to 1600hrs
Reference and citation
Citation is the way of telling your readers that certain material in your work came from another source. Giving credit to the original author by citing sources is the only way to use other people’s work without plagiarizing. Detailed examples will be given in the ILS lectures
