Overview:
The Bachelor’s programme in Development Studies is interdisciplinary and focuses on economic, social and political processes and their links to development cooperation. The aim is to provide the knowledge needed in order to critically examine and understand the preconditions for, and the process of, development. The programme draws on, and combines, the scientific traditions from different disciplines such as agriculture, sociology, political science, human geography and economics amongst others. This offers students a multi-disciplinary perspective on development studies and provides the opportunity to deepen their knowledge and analysis pertaining to developmental issues in the context of Zimbabwe as well as internationally.
