Dr Tanyaradzwa Rukasha for MUAST
Tanyaradzwa is a holder of a PhD in Agricultural Economics from Fort Hare University where she graduated in 2019. Her PhD focused on the impact of adoption of drought tolerant maize varieties on maize productivity in Chikwawa, Salima and Karonga districts, Malawi. Doctor Tanyaradzwa Rukasha also graduated with her Master of Science in Agricultural Economics from the University of Fort Hare in 2015. Tanya is also a holder of a BSc in Agricultural Economics and Extension in 2013 from the University of Fort Hare.Her work experience in Agricultural economics started in 2014 when she worked as an intern for the EGSP project at CIMMYT. She then worked in the Drought Tolerant Maize for Africa Project under CIMMYT from 2015 – 2017. She also possesses lecturing experience she obtained from University of Fort Hare where she worked as a Teaching Assistant. Dr Rukasha has research interests in climate smart agriculture, post harvest technology for developing countries, technology adoption and diffusion. We wish her well as she joins the MUAST family.
