Overview:
The Catering and Accommodation Department at MUAST is responsible for providing high-quality catering services and comfortable accommodation facilities to students, staff and visitors. Our department plays a crucial role in enhancing the overall university experience by ensuring that everyone’s dietary needs are met and they have a comfortable place to stay during their time on campus. We strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment that promotes healthy living and fosters a sense of community among our patrons.

FUNCTIONS
Catering Services
- Providing nutritious and diverse meal options that cater to various dietary requirements.
- Managing on-campus dining facilities, including cafeterias, ensuring cleanliness, efficiency and a pleasant dining atmosphere.
- Organising catering services for special events, conferences and meetings hosted by the university.
Accommodation Services
- Offering comfortable and well-maintained on-campus accommodation facilities for students, staff and visitors including halls of residence.
- Ensuring a safe and secure living environment through regular inspections, maintenance and adherence to safety protocols.
- Managing room allocations to provide a seamless experience for students.
- Organising safe and secure off campus accommodation for our students.
Customer Support and Engagement
- Providing excellent customer service by promptly addressing inquiries, concerns and feedback from students, staff and visitors.
- Collaborating with other university departments to enhance the overall campus experience through joint initiatives and events.
- Conducting surveys and gathering feedback to continuously improve our services and meet the evolving needs of our diverse community.
