
Mr Justin Chipomho appointed Chairperson in the Department of Crop Science
Mr Justin Chipomho has been appointed the Chairperson in the Department of Crop Science. Mr Chipomho assumed the position on 1 September 2021. Mr Chipomho submitted his DPhil thesis for examination and is at final stage of examinations. Mr Chipomho holds an MSc in Crop Protection (2003), Masters in Business Management (2011) and BSc (Honours) in Agriculture (Crop Science) (1997) from University of Zimbabwe and a National Diploma in Agriculture (1991)from Chibero College of Agriculture.

A recently published textbook titled Agriculture Form 1(2021), Gramsol Publishers by Professor Wonder Ngezimana of MUAST,
Lyn Kudzai Munjoma and Benhildah Pamhidzai Masuka is a response to the call to improve the new curriculum content. The authors noted changes in the Zimbabwean curriculum and the lack of learning material to move with the current and future needs of the learners.

Dr. Dube has been appointed the Chairperson of the Department of Horticulture. Dr. Dube assumed the position on 1 September 2021. Dr. Dube graduated with a Bachelor of Agriculture specialising in Horticulture from the Women’s University in Africa (2006). In search of academic excellence in Horticulture, she graduated with a Masters in Plant Sciences specialising in Greenhouse Horticulture with the Wageningen University in the Netherlands (2010) and a PhD in Agricultural Sciences specialising in Agronomy and Marketing of Traditional Leafy Vegetables from the same university in Netherlands
