The Marondera University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology donated 172 bundles of vegetables to Marondera Provincial Hospital on Monday the 21st of September 2020. The University made this donation, curtesy of the MUAST farm, to give to the community as part of its corporate social responsibility. Being the province’s very own State University and heeding the call to support the University’s home province, the Marondera University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology donated 100 bundles of rape, 60 bundles of mustard (tsunga) and 12 bundles of spinach, all worth $5,200 to the Hospital.Read More
The Vice Chancellor Professor Justice Nyamangara is delighted to announce to the MUAST community, the appointment of Mr Jonathan Lieto as the University Founding Registrar. Mr Lieto joins the University from the University of Zimbabwe where he spent over twenty-five (25) years serving in Administration. Prior to joining the University of Zimbabwe, he worked in the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education as a Teacher; the then Ministry of Political Affairs as an Administrative Officer and the Ministry of Lands and Water development as a Senior Administrative Officer.Read More

Applicants must have at least a Higher National Diploma in Office Management/Secretarial Studies or equivalent and at least 5 Ordinary Level passes including English Language. Proficiency in a wide range of IT applications such as Word, Excel, Publisher and PowerPoint is a must. A First Degree in Administration/Management or related field is an added advantage.
On behalf of Marondera University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology Vice Chancellor, Professor Justice Nyamangara, management, staff and students we welcome Professor Sebastian Chakeredza to the MUAST team. Professor Sebastian Chakeredza joined the University as a lecturer on the 1st of July 2020. Professor Chakeredza is a holder of a BSc in Agriculture Animal Science from University of Zimbabwe he obtained in 1989 and in 1994, he attained an MSc in Animal Science from the University of Zimbabwe. In search of knowledge, he enrolled for a PhD in Animal Nutrition with the University of Gottingen, Germany and he graduated in the year 2000. As this was not enough to quench his thirst for knowledge he enrolled for a Post-Doctoral fellowship in Animal Sciences with the same university.
The Vice Chancellor, Professor Justice Nyamangara invites the University community to join him in welcoming Doctor Ernest Dube who assumed duty on the 1st of July 2020 as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Development Sciences at Marondera University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (MUAST). Ernest graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing from Zimbabwe Open University (ZOU) in 2007 and a Diploma in Development and Disaster Management with National University of Science and Technology (NUST) in year 2008. In addition to a Master of Science in Development Studies obtained from the National University of Science and Technology in 2012, Dr Dube also holds a Doctorate of Philosophy (DPhil) in Development Studies from the Midlands State University (MSU) which he obtained in 2017.
The Vice Chancellor, Professor Justice Nyamangara invites the University community to join him in welcoming the newly appointed Director of Works and Estates, Mr Edward Mombeshora. Engineer Mombeshora joined Marondera University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology on the 1st of July 2020. Prior to joining the University, he started his career at Prowick Investments, Sirius mine, where he was in charge of all infrastructural projects and commissioning of the mine from January 2012 to March 2013. He then joined Arup as a structural Engineer from June 2013 to September 2018 where he was involved in the structural designing of a variety of projects ranging from reinforced concrete multi storey structures, structural steel, timber and masonry designs.
On behalf of Marondera University of Agricultural Science and Technology family,Professor Justice Nyamangara would like to welcome back Mr Wiseman Muchaendepi. Mr Muchaendepi first joined the MUAST family on the 1st of April 2019 and was on leave from October 2019 to June 2020. He resumed his duties on 01 July 2020. He will be taking over his position as the Director in the Department of Procurement and Transport.Colleagues from the MUAST family wish to express their gratitude to Mr Muchaendepi for re-joining the University. The MUAST family believe that Wiseman will continue to save the University deligently.
On behalf of Marondera University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology Vice Chancellor, Professor Justice Nyamangara, management, staff and students, we welcome Mr Gideon Mazuruse to the Marondera University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology. He joined MUAST’s Teaching and Learning Institute as a lecturer of Statistics and Pure Mathematics on the 1st of June 2020. Mr Mazuruse is a holder of a Master’s Degreee in Statics and Operations Research from the National University of Science and Technology which he acquired in 2016. He is also a holder of Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science from Great Zimbabwe University which he attained in 2010, a Special Honours Degree in Statistics and Research Operations from the GZU obtained in 2012.
