Mr Musekiwa Kamba is a registered Public Accountant (Rpacc). He is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and
Administrators (ACIS) who holds a Master of Business Administration (2007) from the Zimbabwe Open University and a Master of
Science in Strategic Management from Chinhoyi University of Technology (2008). He is an Affiliate of the Association of
Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA). Prior to joining MUAST Mr. Kamba worked as Deputy Bursar for Bindura University of
Science Education (2012-2017) and Acting University Bursar (2018-2021). He has also worked for NOCZIM as the Treasury Manager
and Economic Analyst (2008-2011)
In addition, he has worked for Chinhoyi University of Technology as Deputy Bursar (2003-2006) and Midlands State University
as Senior Assistant Bursar (2001-2003). He has served as a Board member for the National Oil Infrastructure Company
(2013-2016), where he chaired the Finance and Audit Committee.
In June 2021 Mr Kamba was appointed Founding Bursar of Marondera University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (MUAST)
The Bursar who is the Chief Financial Officer of the University heads this key office. The primary role of this office is to safeguard the funds and assets of the University. This office report to the Vice Chancellor and the University Board for the overall organization, administration and management of the University’s accounting function. The Financial Directorate is split into two major functions headed by Deputy Bursar. Accounting Services and Treasury as well as Planning and Control.
